HD 6950 vs GTX 560 Ti 448 cores

So I need help with a decision, I'm building a pc right now and I am stuck on the graphics card between the Radeon HD 6950 from XFX http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150548 and the GTX 560 ti 448 cores FTW edition by evga http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130738. Which is better?

More about 6950 cores
  1. Your second link does not link to a specific card.

    Mactronix :)
  2. Well this is the card anyway. EVGA 012-P3-2066-KR GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 448 Cores FTW 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
  3. However, why not a 7850 like this?

At least as fast and with newer tech.
  4. I was going to buy a 6950 but found an asus direct cuII 560ti 448 on sale 50$ cheaper than the cheapest 6950.

I'm very happy with it so far. The 448 is supposed to be a tiny tad faster (barely noticable) than the 6950. If the prices are the same I think I would go with the 448 core as it overclocks so well.

  5. +1 for the 7850. Performs like a 448 or better.
  6. Why not get the sapphire 7850 one for $209.99 They are good amd gfx maker.

7850 is great than 6950, draw less power and less heat.
  7. why would one decide to want the 560ti448 when both the 7850 and 570's are cheaper than it.
