My power supply is generic and it says max output 150 but then it says total extended output is 300. Does that mean I have 300 or 150.

I would think that it is a "generic 300w."

The max 150w, i think, should be 3.3v and 5v max output, for example:
3.3v can give current up to X ampere,
5v can supply current up to Y ampere,
Max 3.3v and 5v output= 3.3 x X + 5 x Y = 150w
