More about case recommendation
  1. Of the two choices I would get the Corsair 300R which seems to have a little more versatility as far as fan/cooling options
    My $0.02
  2. Here I'll list some differences of the two cases and let you decide:

Both support: Micro ATX / ATX; Antec also supports ITX

Antec is all steel; Corsair is Steel/Plastic

Antec has 6 internal 3.5" bay, and 2 internal 2.5" bays; Antec has 4 internal bays that can be used as both 3.5" and 2.5"

Antec has 8 expansion slots; Corsair has 7

Antec has 3,363.3 volume; Corsair has 2,805.981

Antec weighs 15.3 Ibs; Corsair weighs 15.9 Ibs

    ---

In my opinion the Antec is the better choice ( And cheaper too. ) As far as cooling goes more fans does not equal lower temps, so long as you are running a good positive pressure you will do fine.
  3. 300R is $75

    500R is $80 after $30 MIR

    Antec 900 and 902 are $80 after $20 MIR

HAF 922 is a bit long in the tooth but it also is $80 after $15 MIR

Any one of them is better than the 300 or 302 .... that $5 investment is a "no brainer"....but I'd grab the 500R .

And yes, both companies are very good paying rebates quickly.

Could be a factor if you have friends that play football around your computer...

Do you have a RAID 0+1 setup? This could be a factor.

That is a good selling point if you have need for a 4th double wide PCI slot - you could go 4 way SLI in there

Good information for lan parties I guess

Never said more was better. I do believe the ability to have different mounting options (such as for an H100) is a major +
    Again, simply my $0.02
  5. Yeah I agree across the board with you, I was simply stating the differences and thanks I didn't know that about microatx. I was just going off the list on newegg.

thanks for your .02, this is mine.
  6. Thanks for all the reply's guys it has helped alot xD
  7. The cases that look the best to me that are on sale right now are:

Fractal Design Arc Midi for $70 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352007&Tpk=arc%20midi

Rosewill Challenger $40 with free shipping! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147153

Both cases come pre-installed with 3 fans which is nice.
