GPU help

mb=mssi z77a gd65
cpu=i5 3570k running at 4.6 ghz with corsair h100 cooler with noctua NF-f12pwm fans
ssd=ocz vertex 4
gpu=msi hd7770 on loan from a friend
monitor=acer led 24" running at default 1920/1080p
case=corsair 600 series graphite (white model)
ram=patriot viper extreme series 8gb ddr2133

i play loads of games online and ofline and need your input in buying a GPU that can take max settings
bear in mind i will never use multi screen or go higher than 1920/1080p res.

thank for any advice

budget is no problem a long as the card will compliment my build

a GTX 670 or a HD 7950 will do great for you

I'd say the 7950 would be a solid choice.

what do you guys think of the msi gtx lightning 670/680
or the HD 7970 for my rig or do you think it is a bit of an overkill with my current specs

a GTX 670 and HD 7950 is plenty for 1920x1080

ah thx bro now i need to know which is the better card seeing that i want to clock the crap out of it..also a buddy of mine said that i should stick to gtx seeing that i am using intel and not amd which would benefit the hd card

what that's not true at all AMD works fine with Nvidia and Intel works fine with AMD there's no difference

the HD 7950 would be the better buy especially if overclocking

hehehe living in south africa i do not have a lot of choice in buying psu's as the corsairs and other imports will whack me silly with the price,so i took the cooler master which have a 12 volt rail with 2/ 8pins for the bigger gpu cards at a not so heavy price

okay so CUDA and PhysX is not of any use then if i go HD and not GTX??
or teach me what it do or not do because i have no idea

True only Nvidia has CUDA and Physx but its not really a huge selling point as only about 5 good games use Physx and CUDA isn't really used in games its mostly for Photoshop and Video-editing etc

good answer buddy now i need to know which brand of hd7950 i should get

gigabyte/asus or msi (not the stock cards pls)

a few model numbers will help a lot i think so that i could check out the reviews

Sapphire Vapor-X 100352VXSR and MSI R7950 Twin Frozr 3GD5/OC are the best as they overclock great and have amazing coolers
