AMD Phenom II x4 965 vs. AMD FX 6300

Which one do you think is better?

AMD Phenom II X4 965 AM3 3.4Ghz 512KB 45NM 125W 4000MHZ

or

AMD FX-6300 Six-Core AM3 3.5Ghz

The Phenom is fifty bucks cheaper, but does the 6300 make the cost worth it?
Future-proofing?
Overclocking?

The phenom is better in perfromance, however, the FX - 8350 is what you're looking for if you want future proof.. its the closest you can get lol. nothing is future proof.
