7970 ghz or standard

hey guys i am buying a 7970 and i couldnt decide what to buy. Which one shall i buy:

1-)SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7970 OC $430

2)SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition $470

would the clocks and etc. worth the $40 because the more cheap card i choose the less money dad will pay

for info: i will mostly play on 1680x1050 but i may sometimes play on stereoscopic 1080p and i want the card to handle alot (this is the last pc dad is buying.. so i want a future proof pc)
