450GTS Vs....?

Hello there!

I currently have a gainward 450GTS. I am looking to upgrade for about £150 utter maximum.

I have been offered a HD6970 for £130 delivered, used, of course. but others have told me to get a GTX 470 and other mainly Nvidia cards.

Now I really don't care about brands. I care about getting the best I can for my money. By best, I mean most powerful card.

People seem to be very caught up in "only buy Nvidia" or the opposite.... can anyone give me some actual advice on what I should do without being biased?

I would pick up the 6970 for that price If I had the chance...thats a great card similar in performance to a 7870 which costs alot more than that.

That's a pretty good card for the price, but make sure the card works and you have the power supply for it.

What are your system specs? If you have a motherboard with more than one PCI-E X16, you can get a Physx card!
