Right now I cannot decide one which set to get - either Altec Lansing AVS500 or Creative Inspire 4400...or maybe something else? They'll mainly be used for MP3s and DVDs and sometimes games.

BTW, I'm a poor man with only around $60US to spend.

-Thanks for any suggestions!

Thanks for your replies!
Now I've narrowed it down to three sets - Creative Inspire 4400, Altec Lansing AVS 500 or the Boston Acoustics BA635 (2.1 channel). Please give your suggestions, keeping in mind that I've only got around $60US (I'm actually in Australia where everything costs heaps more) to spend.

-Thanks again

Yes, I have the Altec Lansing ACS54 and they're great for the price!

Curious, would I notice a large difference between a set of ACS54s, ACS56s (basically 54s with more wattage and digi-in), and ATP5s? The 56s and ATP5s are about $30 more than the 54s if I get em refurbished.

Me "I bought a TNT2 M64, the BIOS says its a Vanta"
IOMagic "Theyre the same card"
Me "Um, no"

The ACS54 will give you the best bang for the buck, the ACS56 are great entry level digital speakers. I don't know about the ATP5s though.
