In the middle of a build and cant get comp to boot

Hi folks, im in the middle of a build and I assembled everything and I tried to power it up just to make sure everything was running properly, anyway... when I hit the power button, nothing happens, a couple of the fans spin for a half second and the LED lights up on the mobo for a sec and then nothing. what could be going on??

My first build had the same problem. Turns out I bent some pins.

Did you plug in the auxiliary power connector on the motherboard?

double check all cables. Start with the bare minimum. It's usually something simple.
