predator cdrw

I'm unable to get an emachines633 to recognize a usb Iomega cdrw. After three hours with Iomega support, I was told they don't know why it won't work. The emachine will not recognize this cdrw. The cdrw works just fine on other computers. I've checked usb port, deleted legacy files, reloaded software, but no help. The emachine runs WinME.

Were the other computers that you tested it on running WinME too?

DID YOU TRY LOADING DRIVERS AND CD SOFTWARE BEFORE PLUGING IN THE USB cdrw
