IS there a way to lower the price by a little, or get a better bang for the buck. I want to stick with the Haf X, but if there is a better case for the money, I will choose which one. With rebates this lowers to about 1430.00, which I think is a acceptable price. One last thing, I am going to stick with Intel.

get the 7870
I would take out the anti virus and get iobit app unistaller and malwarebytes. But I hate antivirus software, and I think of it as a virus in of itself.

You might be able to switch to a cheaper asrcok or msi motherboard like this one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
and the i5 3570k, it would overall be cheaper, but you have to decide if those few extra features are worth it to you. The thing I said about antivirus is because, they bog down my pcs so much that I would just prefer to navigate the internet and check myself.

I think ill stick with the mobo, because i think its one of the main things that i am going to spend more on. I decided to switch to the xfx double d 7870.

+1

The sabertooth's TFU armor is just a marketing gimmick. Imagine trying to remove that plastic armor when u'll need to change the BIOS battery. Not a pretty picture, eh?

For your DDR3: go with: SAMSUNG 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model MV-3V4G3D/US ($38.99 @ Newegg)

For your casing: Either Corsair Carbide 500R($109 promo @ newegg) or NZXT Phantom 410($99.99 @ Newegg) are a good choice since they will fit all graphic cards and an ATX motherboard.

For your HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB SATA III 7200 RPM 64 MB Cache Internal Desktop Hard Drive($100 promo @ Amazon) 5 yr warrranty, 1 TB Size hard disk and best quality you can get ;)

For your PSU: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 650W 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC High Performance Power Supply ($64.99 after rebates w/ free shipping @ Newegg)An Absolute Steal!!!

If you take into account my suggestions, you'll have enough savings to go with a radeon 7970 :D

Yeah, I still think you should change the motherboard. It is true that the shield might just be a nuisance

One last question, ive been looking at three cases, nxzt phantom 89.99, haf 932 139.99 and the haf x 149.99, i really like the haf x, and was wondering which case to get.
