Hi, Tom's! After some 7 years of service, I'm about to almost completely scrap my old rig. In its place, I will build a new system with the following specs:

Intel Core i5-3570k 6mb
Asus P8B75-M LE Mobo
Kingston Hyper X BLU DDR3 (2x4)
500 gb Western Digital Green 64 mb SATA3
Thermaltake V2S 450w Lite Power Casing (PSU included)
Palit GT 440 GDDR5 (Carried over from old build)

I could sure appreciate your thoughts on the build, especially on the 450w PSU. Would the PSU be enough to power my system when I eventually go for nVidia's 600-series cards? What about if I go SLI with the same series

first of all, what is your budget and location. your build as of now is extremely unbalanced by putting in a gt 440 and a i5 3570k.

and yeah, everything would need to go. even the power supply. capacitator aging probably reduced its rated output by a fair bit from the years of use you got out of it
