i am only playing games on what the games recommend i don't adjust them in anyway for eaxmple skyrim recommends i play it on very high .
However changing graphics down doesnt change the lag spikes , the games also goes in slow motion alot (minecarft especially)

Running games at 1080p on that setup i see, try turning down the settings to "Medium".
Or you can also try lowering the resolution you game at possibly to 1680x1050 or 1440x900.
There will be lag spikes in games, but you shouldn't be playing in slow motion.
Also check temperatures and usage. In skyrim you'll want GPU to be 99%. Report back with usage.

Download gpu-z for GPU temps and usage. and use windows task manager for cpu usage.

gpu temp : 33

gpu usage : 14%

i double checked weather turning the graphics down would help my problem still lags just as much .

Is this in game? Use something like the MSI Afterburner overlay to check

1680x1050. Possibly 1440x900 depending on title.

Your gpu is only at 14% while gaming? That cant be right or your processor is holding you back big time.

On gpuz on the sensor screen check the box at the bottom that says continue to log.

Load up a game and run it for a few minutes, Then click on gpu load and click highest. Thats the number during gaming.

34% at 1080p or 1650x900?

Either way you GPU isn't fully being used, and I'm guessing your CPU is holding you back, or you have a bad Graphics Card.
Have you updated your GPU drivers from amd.com? Try that first make sure you have the latest.

Well thats the problem there....should be 99% on skyrim with high detail. Your CPU is fine and is not bottlenecking that GPU

What drivers are you using?

Go to www.amd.com and update. Latest catalyst is 12.8 i believe.

Also take a look at this screenshot... The 5770 is a little faster than a 6770 because it uses faster GDDR5 memory. So at 1680x1050 you should only expect about what the 5770 gives at high/very high. Lowering it should help alot, but dont expect 60fps in all honesty.

Hope this helps.

Try lowering settings to medium/low. That GPU is underpowered for most games, depending on resolution and settings turned on during game play.

Turn AA off, etc. Lower view distance and similar settings.

Its also possible you have a bad card. Try putting it in a different system or using another card if you have one.
