After doing some hard thinking I decided that my budget was a little too high for what I really want, I still want a gaming build of course but I have lowered my budget to around $900 max. Again, I appreciate all the help that you guys have given. With that being said here's the new build template I am looking at.

This template is basically what I want to base everything on, what you'll see here is pretty much everything that I want (unless I chose something really horrible, if thats the case please let me know if there are better choices for the money). With the exception of the Graphics Card and the Motherboard as this is where I am having the biggest trouble. I'm not sure whether to go for the i5 2550k/i5 3570k/i5 3550/i5 3450 or AMD FX-8320/FX-8150/FX-8350.
Forgot to mention that I do have access to MicroCenter, if that helps.
Do you need to buy OS: No
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, Tigerdirect, Amazon preferred (whichever has the cheapest between these)
Location: New Milford, NJ 07646
Parts Preferences: AMD or Intel is fine with me, whichever you guys think will fit my needs. Also if there is a better GPU than what I have chosen with a lower price, by all means please tell.
Overclocking: Maybe (Not my main focus as I have not done enough research about it as I'm fairly new, but yes I would like to learn about it)
SLI or Crossfire: No, single GPU is fine with me
Your Monitor Resolution: The monitor I chose supports 1920x1080 resolution, which is a must-have for me as I want to play all my games at 1080p.
Additional Comments: Although I do consider myself as a gamer, I am not the one to care about a ~5 fps increase on the games that I play. All I really want is a very decent mid range gaming computer. The games I am planning to play and focus on are BF3, Diablo 3, League of Legends, Skyrim, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and Guild Wars 2.
I do want to be able to play these games not necessarily on ultra, but I want the build to be able to handle 1080p resolution, high if not on ultra settings with a very good FPS without stress. Also a quiet PC certainly helps and I would hope for this build to last me quite some time before upgrading.
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Main reason for upgrading is that I've had this computer since high school and I would like to treat myself to a good gaming build and I am also interested in how building a computer works, so why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone during the holiday season.
Thanks again for everyones time I love/ look forward to seeing your feedback.
