This has been on an ongoing issue where my computer will lockup. Normally it will lockup when the monitor is off, so I can't see anything. This time it locked up before the monitors turned off... please see the video below.

I am using onboard video (I think it is HD4200), but I was having blue screens using my HD 4650 too so took that out to rule out my card. I am at the point where I want to buy a nvidia card.

Any ideas?

My system specs are in my signature now.

my idle CPU temp is 35C. How can I test my quad core under load? also, not sure how to get the GPU temp.

I'm not overclocking anything. I *am* running two monitors off the onboard video. One is a 27" @ 1920 x 1680 and the other is 22" @ 1680 x 1050.

I am already at the latest version, V28.7. Are you suggesting that I do it again or that my bios is corrupted?

I think I figured it out.

I went to MSI's site and downloaded the latest system drivers, dated 2012-09-22. I uninstalled completely and reinstalled, and the Catalyst version they pack with it is 11.8. But, the latest version of Catalyst if you go to AMD's site is 12.6 So there must be an incompatibility in there somewhere. I just turned off the software update and plan to never update pending no more lock ups :)
