Wireless network found but not connecting

Wondering if anyone can help, i have a laptop running Vista which will connect to wireless network, but will not connect to internet. I have tried connecting direct to router and also deleting wireless connection & reinstalling with no luck. I can however use a mobile broadband usb dongle and connect to the internet with no problem - appears to be a problem with connecting via something other than mobile broadband - anmy ideas???

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

In Internet Explorer's Tools menu, go to Internet Options then click the Connection tab and then the LAN button. Pop a tick in the "Automatically detect settings" box and remove any ticks from the Proxy boxes. Click Apply and OK, restart IE and see if that helped.
