Hello,

Does anyone make a low profile radeon hd 7750 *with* an external power connector? I've got a Dell Optiplex 780 SFF and its PCIe slot is rated for 30W and a 7750 is rated around 55W. I could use the video speed boost for my apps as I am currently using a Radeon HD 6450.

I've done some looking and not come across any as of yet.

All help is appreciated,

It takes all of the power from the PCI-E, so the manufacturer saw no reason to make one with a connector. I think for a little while they made an overclocked version with a power connector, but it was not low profile.

What apps are you using?

Photoshop and Quickbooks are the biggest apps I use and I sadly don't have the space for a minitower. The 6450 is WAY better than integrated video, but I had an optiplex 280 and a radeon 3750 and it ran at about 75% the speed of what this quad core Q9400 system is running. The 780 is much quieter and cooler, but I know I've got performance room to grow.

Thanks!
