Hi,

Does anyone know if there are any IDE Raid cards, that have an upgradable cache module (standard SDRAM)

Or can you recomend a good (but not enterprise level) SCSI Raid Controller that I can stuff with cache.

What RAID level are you talking about?

Promise 4 Channel ATA-66 128mb max: <A HREF="http://www.promise.com/PDF/SuperTrak66.pdf" target="_new">http://www.promise.com/PDF/SuperTrak66.pdf</A>

Adaptec 4 Channel ATA-100 128mb max: <A HREF="http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/product/prodfulldesc.html?prodkey=AAR-2400A&cat=/Technology/RAID/ATA+RAID" target="_new">http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/product/prodfulldesc.html?prodkey=AAR-2400A&cat=/Technology/RAID/ATA+RAID</A>

Promise 6 Channel ATA-100 128mb max: <A HREF="http://www.promise.com/products/supertrak_sx6000/supertrak_sx6000_data_sheet_r1.pdf" target="_new">http://www.promise.com/products/supertrak_sx6000/supertrak_sx6000_data_sheet_r1.pdf</A>

All these do RAID 0,1,0+1,5,JBOD

Hope that helps,

Thank you,

I've gone with the Adaptec 2400A, initialy with a Raid 0 setup with 4 x IBM 60GB, but this will probably change to some sort of fault tollerent setup in the near future.
