I currently have a GTS 250 and I was wondering what modern GPU would that be equal to in the performance department. Every game I have, im able to play them at 1080p res

If you're just asking about performance, the GTX 250 is a little below a 550 TI or 560 SE, which are ~$110 cards. You would need to look higher for something really worth upgrading to.

why would you look for and change to something equal? did your 250 go bad?
