Brand new computer

Hello everyone,

Well I've had my current PC for about 5 years now, so I believe it's time for an upgrade and I'm looking for some advice for my GPU because I'm getting a mixed results when asking my more component savvy friends.

I was looking at getting the 660ti because i've heard it's a very good card for its price, but if anyone can steer me in a cheaper direction but with similar results I'd be most appreciative. I want to be able to play games like BF3, cs:go etc on Ultra settings on 1980x1050 without too much FPS drop.

If your budget allows for it and you plan on gaming a lot I would go for a larger ssd simply because that 120gb will fill up faster than you think

I have my OS, bf3, batman AC, Skyrim, and a ton of older games installed on it and I still have 80+gbs to spare

you could go for either 660ti or hd7870 . both will give you good fps at your preferred resolution but not at ultra settings maybe a notch below ultra. the 7870 is quite a bit cheaper than 660ti.

while the 660ti is a nice card, if you're looking to save up cash, the 7870 or maybe the 7950 isn't all that especially with the recent price drop

also, a bit of insight on the memory interface limitations with the 660ti, especially if you're real picky with AA settings
