Hello, I'm installing this card in an older machine, years after originally buying it. My question concerns POWER. It has two (2) six-pin power receptacles, plus a two-pin. I have one free six-pin (male) plug free. Do I need two?

If the card requires two 6 pin power cables, then you need two 6 pin power cables.

You can use a 2xmolex-pci-e 6pin adaptor for one of the 6pin's, as long as you have 2 free molex.

I think you either mean the card has a 6-pin PCI-E and a 8-pin PCI-E or the card has a special multi-meter insertion socket like on some MSI cards that allows you to probe the card voltages in real time. But those aren't meant for you to plug power into. They are "service" ports.

What do you have for a PSU for that older machine? I remember the older 9800GTX+ were pretty power hungry.
