Hi, i need to upgrade my whole system from my ageing core 2 duo platform. I have considered 2 options, one is to get a APU, one is to get a old fashioned CPU+GPU.

These are the 2 systems i have in mind. Which one is better? Please don't tell me to go intel because i don't have the money

System 1:

AMD FX4130 3.8GHz quad core.
Asus M5A97 AM3+
4/8GB's ddr3
Geforce gtx280 1gb ddr3

System 2:

AMD Trinity a10 5800k w/ 7760D Graphics.
Gigabyte GA-F2A75M-D3H
4/8GB's ddr3

I already have a PSU, hard drive, dvd drive and case.

The games i want to play are battlefield 3, just cause 2 and future games like that at 1080P. I am suspecting the 1st system will be better, but someone told me that the APU was better, help!!

I also have a problem with one of the builds, system 1, the motherboard has a 8pin cpu connector and my psu only has a 4pin, will it work, the cpu is a used 125W one?

Thanks!

How much is your budget exactly?

I would get the 2nd build. FX-4130 is a Bulldozer line and they're not very great in gaming. I doubt the GTX280 would be any better than the APU's IGP as well.

Even if i overcocked system 1 to 4.8GHz?!?!

And got a GTX285?

Also, the motherboard has a 8pin and my psu has a 4pin, will this be a problem??

Thanks!
