Okay so i have decided to get a xfx HD 7950 double d, I know its backwards compatible with PCIe 2.0 which is what my mobo rocks with my current processor. I have a gigabyte z68 mobo that supports PCI 3.0 but only with an Ivy processor, ive got an sb i5 2500k. So the real question is would i expreience any loss of frame rate from the benchmarks on card? I'm assuming so but just how bad is it, and is it bad enough to warrant another 230 for and IB i5 on top of the 330 for the card?

I believe you need to have a series-7 chipset for the LGA-1155 platform along with an Ivy Bridge CPU to utilize PCI-E 3.0. Don't waste the money on that "upgrade." The difference is only a few frames in games and benchmarks; hardly anything noticeable.
