Hello, Right now I am just finishing converting my loft into a bedroom and I am also installing an Ethernet outlet up there too.

I have already got the cat5e cable run from the router and run under the floorboards to where the outlet is going to be installed but I have come up against a bit of a problem.

How do I mount the outlet to the wall using this backplate?

Am I missing something as I cannot see where screws are meant to go. Obviously the cat5e cable goes through the hole in the back and the faceplace with keystones screws onto the front but I cannot see how this is meant to be secured to the wall.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks.

Use the 2 holes in the top right and bottom left corner of your picture. The holes slanted at 45deg.

Just use a screw with thread small enough to fit through the holes but with a big enough head to hold the back box into place.
