Hi, A friend of mine has Cable Modem Service... and also has a subscription for AOL as well.. they wanna use TCP/IP to connect to AOL.. because they don't wanna have to use Dial up anymore since they have the cable modem, but they wanna still use the AOL program..

can you guys give me a few pointers on what i have to do for this.........

just config the AOL to use TCP/IP connection instead of dialup. They should also degrade their AOL service because it's only like $10 for that.

yes, thanks for the info, my cousin just told me the same thing..

quick question.. if they degrade.. does this mean they won't be able to use DIAL UP? what disadvantages does this have?

yes, they won't be able to use dial-up. Disadvantages? They won't be able to use dialup.

Best solution: Get rid of the crutch (AOL). It's like totally un-necessary and totally $ucks.
