i feel my nokia 3100 is gonna die soon due to what happened to the other day
and was wondering if there's away to save or transfer txt messages from the
archives folder to another phone or download them to Nokia PC Suite

Sure. You can backup your messages using Oxygen Phone Manager II (
http://www.opm-2.com/ ). You can connect Nokia 3100 to OPM-2 with DKU-5
datacable or F-Bus (not recommended) and read SMS messages from your 3100.
Our program also supports up to 100 Nokia models. You can view complete list
on OPM-2 homepage.

You can download latest trial here: http://www.opm-2.com/download/opm2.zip
Trial version allows to upload only one SMS message from each folder per
program's session. There is no such limitation in full registered version of
our software.
