Heatsink question

Hi, I was wondering can I use my gtx 280's heat sink and try it on gtx 480? Because my gtx480 all of a sudden start over heating and I just want to test to see if its the heatsink or the card just gone bad.

you should just reapply the thermal paste to GTX 480 imo...

would the ceramic compound thermal paste work be fine? my idle temps are 75C degrees and full load goes to 110C
