Wireless Computers Lose Access to Other Networked Devices

Forum Networking : LAN/WAN Wireless Computers Lose Access to Other Networked Devices

Hey everyone, I have an issue here that I wanted to get some input about.

I've got this network that has 2 desktop XP computers connected by Ethernet cable to a Netgear RangeMax router. I also have multiple Windows 7 laptops that are wirelessly connected to the same network (router).

Both desktop XP computers (mainly one) has its files shared across the network. Each wired computer can always access and see each other on the network, but every wireless computer cannot see any other device on the network. No visibility at all. But when I reboot the router only, voila! Wireless computers can now properly see other devices on the network and access the files. It works this way for a awhile, then they all completely lose access (not Internet access though, only access to other networked devices). Again, a reboot of the router fixes it for awhile, but only temporarily. I've gone through this again and again. The problem is quite consistent.

One last thing to note. If a wireless computer is plugged into the router, it can then see everything it should. It only keeps dropping access to networked devices from wirelessly connected devices.

Anyone willing to share any insight into this is greatly appreciated. I'm wondering if it's the router. It's a few years old, but it's not ancient. It's a Netgear RangeMax WPN824 v3.
