I'm planning to get a
Corsair Builder Series 500w 80+ PSU to accompany these components.

Motherboard:
MSI 970A-G46

CPU:
AMD FX-4170 Quad-Core 4.3 GHz

RAM:
Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin SDRAM

HDD:
Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB

Graphics/Video Card:
Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition

Optical Drive:
Asus 24xDVD-RW Serial ATA Internal Drive

Power Supply Unit:
Corsair Builder Series 500w

Is this build any good for my limited price range?
My MAIN CONCERN is not having enough wattage in my PSU. Should I be worried?
Any other comments?

You should be fine running that set up with the CX500. Your rig (once running) will probably pull about 250W (or there abouts) under full load. You have plenty of overhead (which is good) in the Corsair unit.
I don't see any issues with the build - looks okay to me
