I'm gonna replace some of my old parts with some new. I'm gonna end up with: ASRock Z77 EXTREME4 (New) Cooler Master HAF 912 (New) Samsung 830 Series MZ-7PC256B - Solid state drive (New) Intel Xeon E3-1270V2 - 3.5 GHz (New) Kingston HyperX Predator 4x4 GB (KHX24C11T2K2/8X) (New) Nvidia GTX 580 Corsair TX850W As this is my 2nd time putting a computer together, I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on if I should go for something else? I'm looking to get the best chassis, mobo, ram, ssd and cpu, I can get for around 1000 euro combined. I appreciate any suggestions. OptOPs November 11, 2012 2:42:54 AM I just looked around and figured out it would be a pretty decent upgrade compared to my OC'ed i7 920 (OC to 3.25Ghz). Do you know if there's something better in the same price range as the Intel Xeon E3-1270v2? Thanks a lot for the advicing. Btw, the computer will mainly be used for gaming. Can't find your answer ? Should I go for the i7 3770K instead of the Xeon? excella1221 November 11, 2012 4:14:22 AM Xeon is a server CPU, and an i7 is no better than an i5-3570K in terms of gaming. Though you didn't really specific it's for gaming. What will this be used for? prodigydoo November 12, 2012 2:45:47 AM yeh as excella says, xeons arent really designed for gaming, you should go with an i5 or i7 depending on how much you have to spend Can't find your answer ?
