Hello, I'm thinking of updating from this:
http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/ati-rad...

(sorry, can't find a store page)
to this:

I have a PCI-Express x16 while the card I want uses PCI Express 2.1 x16.
Is it possible to upgrade?
Some Specs:

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz(4 CPU), 2.3GHz
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 3400 series, PCI-Express x16

There won't be an issue. The PCI Express standards are backward compatible.

What power supply do you have? The 6870 uses considerably more power than a 3400. But that being said if your PSU meets the specifications listed on the XFX site it should be fine.

the required specifications were
External Power - 6-Pins: 2
Minimum Power Supply Requirement:500 Watt
* There will be an amps on the 12V rail requirement that you should look up in the manual before buying

PCI Express® 2.0 from the webpage, and thanks for the info. I'll make sure to
check my PSU when I can.
