Is 6870 good card to play all present and upcomming games?

Hi guys!

am looking forward to buy 6870 for my corei3 2nd generation processor and 4gb ram...please tell me ATI 6870 can play all current games and upcomming games in this year? is this a right choice?

I use a Sapphire HD 6870 and I can assure you that is an excellent card. In 1600x900 (where I play too) will play at the max most games, but in 30-40 fps, so in 1900x1080 you will need to lower a bit the details.

As much as it makes my sad, I would suggest you to buy a stronger card if you can afford it, better one of these (in order form the best to worst): HD 7870, GTX 660, HD 7850, hell even a 560Ti is more suitable for 1080p gaming.

That being said, if you cannot afford on of the above, HD 6870 (or GTX 560, they are practically the same) will serve you well for a good time.

my resolution is 1600*900 but i will soon upgrade to 1900*1080

yes hd 7850 is more future proof card with very good oc potential.... and mind it ,it has support for direct x 11.1...which will become essential in future..
when oc it works as good as 7950...u can google it..its way to gooo.....and very low power consuming too...
i have done a lot,i mean it a lot research and ordered my HIS HD 7850 2 gb isq x.....
good to go....
