Hi Guys.

Basically i use my pc for games(a lot of different games) and movies downloaded off the net.

Every game works on win98'but as per my prev post i was having pink and green spotting on wmp7.

I also have winXP'But am having lots of trouble making some of the games work and even some of the ones which do need tweaked first.

But i like the media player that comes with XP'and i don't get the spotting with that player.I heard it's wmp8'but not sure thats true or not.

But anyway is i am thinking of going back to win98 again'but want to know if i can copy and burn the media player from xp before i do and then install it in win98?.If so what file do i copy????

Thanx

No, you can't do that. There's no single file associated with the program that you can copy and install in another OS.

Eventually you'll be able to download Windows Media Player 8, but not yet. Right now, it only comes with WinXP, and not as a stand-alone download. It was offered as part of a program preview for a while, but that's over now.

You'll just have to wait until it's available. Sorry.

Maybe you'll have better luck finding the information you need <A HREF="http://communities.microsoft.com/Newsgroups/default.asp?ICP=windowsmedia&sLCID=US" target="_new">here</A>. It's worth a shot.
