GTX 670 or Radeon 7970

So i have thease two Gigabyte graphics cards.

Radeon
Or
GTX

So, the Radeon one has higher core speed 1000MHz AND GTX has 980MHz but boost clock 1058MHz

I have heard that the drivers are a bit different.
So both are the same cost (399$)
Please, tell what you think... Or rather "know"

More about radeon 7970
  1. 7970, definitely. The 7970 is the rough equivalent of a GTX 680. Core speed isn't an issue.
  2. GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 670 2GB costs $379.99 after the $20.00 rebate and has free shipping.
GIGABYTE Radeon HD 7970 3GB costs $407.55 after the $7.56 shipping.

I would save myself money and go with the GeForce GTX 670, both cards are overkill for any game, the GTX 670 has less VRAM but unless you are running triple monitor setups at high resolutions the games will still run fine. The clock rates aren't a big issue with me as I don't overclock.

However you get three free games with the Radeon HD 7970 which can potentially save you loads of money ( $180 ), and as you are looking at high end graphics cards I can only assume you will be playing games, I will then suggest get the Radeon HD 7970.
  3. Yes, whit radeon you get: Hitman, FarCry3, Sleeping Dgs and Medal of Honor WarFighter Limited Edition (20% off digital deluxe).
And whit the GTX, where im going to buy it, you get Botherlands 2 and Assasins creed 3 free with it.
Personaly i can find myself liking the both gtx games mutch more than the one with radeon.
but still, its about the card, not the games..

The 7970 is about 10% stronger than the 670. It also overclocks more and is more future proof. IMO it would be flat out silly to get the 670 if they are about the same price...
