560 SE or 650, or similar from AMD?

Hi,
I have question, what do you suggest 560 SE or 650? They are both at same level for both price and performance(there are very few benchmarks regarding both, but they both say they're in between 550 ti and 560... and price of them is around $120-130)

And, do PCIE 3 work on PCIE 1?

I'm doing some 3d modeling and sculpting and not very interested how they're in games.(I use 3ds max, zbrush for example)

If anybody knows, how important is having e.g. 2 GB of vram instead of 1 GB in this scenario?
And I'm not going to SLI them so it's not point to count.

Will they woek on PCIe I?

I mean, by standard requirement it should, but at their page what they say is:
"GeForce GTX 650 supports PCI Express 3.0. The Intel X79/SNB-E PCI Express 2.0 platform is only currently supported up to 5GT/s (PCIE 2.0) bus speeds even though some motherboard manufacturers have enabled higher 8GT/s speeds."

So what they mean?.. I didn't get

It does, its used for WiFi cards and TV tuner cards:

1.0 should be compatible with any new card. Its going to bottleneck any high end card, but medium level cards should work fine.

"should" doesn't mean "do"

what I mean is, that nowhere in nVidia's requirements are said it requires PCIE 1.0 (usually it says 2.0 as requirement) where AMD's says 1.0 (as it should...)

yeah, I know standard requirements of PCIe 3.0(to be backwards compatible), but I'm not sure about Nvidia's cards..

I'm just double checking if it really is good enough.

And as GB point, how important is to have 2GB rather than 1?

2GB is really only useful in high resolution situations. Anything at 1080p depending on the graphics card should have 2GB. I run at 1776x1000 on my 1GB and it works just fine though.

[strike]The 7770 doesnt really have the juice to run at that resolution anyway.[/strike]

It does have the juice for the resolution, but not enough to justify 2GB.

I guess I have 1.0 not 1.1 PCI-E (my motherboard was released in mid 2006 and everywhere is said just "PCIE x16")
(where can I check?)

So, do things(600 series) work for 1.0?
I guess it should, as long as I had PCIe 2.0 card in the past(8800 gts)

Yeah, I don't have that big resolution anyway

Sorry just scanned that article as I have just woken up.... so does 3.0 not work in a 1.0 slot?

Just curious as I have seen people recommending 7770's to people the 1.0 all over the place... Ive always just stayed out of it
