Hi
If you plan on overclocking then you're okay to go, BUT
if not, THEN
save some money and get Z75 or H77 motheboard and i5-3470.

I am planning on doing a moderate amount of overclocking down the road, so I figured this would be good.

Just in case, go to http://pcpartpicker.com/ select your components and make sure it says that they all compatible.
Good luck with new build

I think its pretty good for the price. Anything you see that's of questionable performance?

Yup, go with win7. At the moment it's the best, while Win8 has few faults. If you want to know more read the link from previous poster^.
