Hey everyone, so i'm choosing a few new parts for my pc, A motherboard, system case, ram and possibly a psu, i'm just looking for advice on wether or not this build will be solid / work well together, all input welcome.

Case (NZXT Apollo Black Midtower)

Mobo (Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3

Will this be able to unlock the CPU i'v bought below?
-

Cpu ( Phenom II b60 )

-

Ram/memory (corsair 1333mhz gb) i choose this ram because i have 2x2gb sticks of the same ram for a combined total of 12gb

PARTS I ALREADY OWN
Psu - Acbel 510w - It's not great but it's also not bad, cost around 50$ NZD
GPU - 560 TI gigabyte
Ram - 2x2gb sticks of corsair 1333 ram
1 TB seagate HDD (Will i need to format once i'v put my new pc together? as it's almost full with installed games / programs)
Disc drive - Ihas DVD writer

Please feel free to change parts around and recommend alternatives, and ask questions, that's why i'm posting, thanks =]

You're trying to pair an AMD CPU with an Intel motherboard, which just won't work. That motherboard won't even fit the CPU, much less unlock. I'd suggest you try and get yourself a 970 chipset AMD motherboard.

Hi cramved, i had a search online and read that it should be fine and might see a minor drop it preformance, which should be out-weighted by the fact i have alot of ram, thanks for your concern and if anyone else has input on this matter please let me know.
