Wireless help for windows7

Hi, I've just puchased a laptop with windows7 installed I need to go wireless but I haven't got a clue what to do, please help. At the moment I have a desktop running Vista and I'm running an ethernet cable to my laptop so they are both on the internet, I need a wireless connection for when I'm away, can someone help a niave user? thanks. red_23

Most laptops have a built-in wireless adapter. Do you have a wireless router?

Hi Grumpy9117, I've got a netcomm adsl2+modem router which I have 2 ethernet cables running from one to my desktop and the other to my latop. I get very confused when it comes to wireless etc. thanks, red_23

Well if you need wireless for when your not home you ned to find a hot spot, or get a mobile wireless access card from your cell phone provider, at home you need a wireless router.

Thanks daship, by a card, do you mean one of those adapter usb things, So now you mean all I do is get wireless access through my server, plug in the adapter then just find a hot spot while I'm away from home. Ca I just buy any adapter/ card - sorry if I'm asing too many Q"s-. red_23
