WishList Tibbi

No one is going to do that. Edit your post.and fix.your link. Better yet list your parts with prices and links. And if is really for 2013 forget it and ask then. Prices and products will change

Even better, follow the form and ask in newbuild.

What is the purpose of this build? Another thing from the form. Lol

In general themaltake makes junk but I think the tr2 might be ok. Still. Get a better brand. seasonic, antec. Corsair. Also more wattage than you need. Good info here

www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx

you don't need 16GB of ram, unless you have some really special software. Most software, including games, can't use over 8 for the system. I run 8 with the page file off, no need for more. Low heatsinks with no fins are better for using all sockets.

Most people don't need an i7. It's pointless for gaming. Only worth the cost if you use apps with hyper threading for you're work..An i5 is usually a better choice. also an h77 board if you won't overclock instead of p 67.

You've got a strange storage setup with 6 TB of random drives and bluray. Seems like htpc. But you're buying a monitor ...

The gpu is to weak for gaming or professional stuff and there are better.choices for an htpc. Again dont know what you're doing

Basically it looks like you have a lot of stuff that doesn't make sense together (to me) but that's why the questions in the form are there. Without knowing what you are trying to do...

I really encourage you to post in new build and follow the form. There are a lot of people willing to suggest great builds that will get you the most bang for your buck and meet your needs. But without knowing what you are trying to do, why, and how much you want to spend we are just guessing.

I plan to play the sims 3, sim city when released, photoshop, media center for tv tuner. And I want storage for movies and tv shows I have. I want to make sure I don't have any lag. Need better graphics card?

The HD6670 is cheaper and several levels better that the 430. For what you're planning I dont see anything more being worth it.

You can see the gpu hierarchy chart.here if you want
www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html

I would go with a non K i5 ivy bridge in an h77 board if you don't want to overclock, with 8 GB of memory.

500W is more than enough and gives the option to add a high end gpu if you ever want to.

If not you could look for a good brand 400W on sale.

On the hard drives, one is a $270 enterprise drive. I wouldn't spend that for 2TB and that's not meant for consumers. You could buy 2 Samsung 2 TB for that price and raid 1 them if you wanted.

I love my Samsungs but Seagate bought them out. Still good drives and prices. And I have never gone over a Terabyte with media center. And keep things for no reason lol.

For OS/programs

For storage

Also today there is a shell shocker on a 1TB Seagate. Good reviews $50. Today only, and it may sell out. If you want some grab them and order the other stuff when ready.

I don't see your tv tuner? Analog cable? OTA HD? Cable card?

Or an OS. You school probably has windows cheap though for students
