My question is pretty simple.

Would it be better to get 3 x 570's

2 x 670's.

Which setup would be better in terms of power usage, upgradability, performance, and overall output.

2 x 670s

The third card in 3-way SLI or CF doesn't add much value. Also several reasons make you not to go for a 570 right now, so GTX 670 all the way.

I would go for two 670 MSI's GTX 670 Power Edition uses the famous Twin Frozr IV cooler from the MSI Lightning and comes with a large clock speed boost out of the box, making its default clock speed even higher than GTX 680 stock clocks. MSI is asking a $30 price premium for their card, which doesn't look unreasonable, given the improved cooling and higher clocks.

Two 670's and the Asus DCII isclearly the king of the crop with the best OC's (1280 boost clock). Only difference between the DCII and DCII TOP is that in early production runs, the TOP used hand binned chips

Asus 670 TOP - 10.0 rating

Gigabyte Windforce SC 670 - 9.8 rating

MSI Twin Frozr IV 670 PE - 9.7 rating

Palit Jetsteram 670 - 97 rating

Zotac AMP 670 - 9.6 rating
