6870 1gb in crossfire vs 660ti

Ok so about 6 months ago I bought 2 6870's and have loved the performance since then. Im taking a linux class in school however so I started duel booting win7 with Ubuntu. I have used it in the past but always went back to windows because my games dont like to run in ubuntu well all the time. Upon doing some reading I have discovered alot of people saying that AMD graphics cards, Ubuntu and wine dont like to play nice together. Im thinking of going to a single nvidia card but dont want to go down in performance. Will the 660ti outperform the two 6870's? Im in your boat too, have two 6870s and thinking about the 660ti as I cant get rid of the issues with Skyrim... and I love that game...
