i5-3570k

mobo
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

ram, $5 to go from 1600 to 2133, figured why not? i know there is no real difference with intel anyway
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

gtx 670 [already owned]
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

heat sink, antec kuhler [already owned, got a good deal on it]
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

thermal paste

itx case
http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=75056

sandisk extreme ssd 120gb [already owned]

western digital caviar black 2tb [already owned]

power supply i havent decided on yet, but i know my max draw will be around 450w and i would prefer 80+ gold

reason for going itx. i live in a really small place and a mid tower is just too inconvenient, i can actually put it on my desktop with itx plus it is WAY easier for lan parties, i can basically stick everything but my monitor into a larger back pack. also i am trying to go as wireless as possible and this is another step in that direction

i never use an optical anyway so i figured i would just completely ditch it and borrow my neighbors usb dvd drive for the very occasional time were i do or i can just hook up a dvd drive when i need it

reason for going with this motherboard. OC potential, intel lan, much faster than usual sata and usb 3.0 speeds compared to competitors, dual band wifi + Bluetooth and hot spot.

possible future upgrades

killer wireless card. compared to an intel ultimate n 6300 it dominates, ill have to get another antennea, not sure if i want to

Don't bother with 2133 MHz RAM - get 1600 with a lower CAS latency - you'll see an actual improvement that way.

I don't like that thermal paste much - it's overpriced for the performance it gives. I'd go with MX-4, personally, and there's always the backup Arctic Silver 5.

Here's the only thing. You're going to have to worry about heat, and that video card is non-reference. That means that heat is going to be blowing back into the case... I dunno about that.

its over priced because of the quantity [28 grams] which is around 28 separate applications which is helpful because i do computer repair and often have to change thermal paste in other computers other than my own. arctict silver 5 has a ridiculously long cure time and its a bit dated.

the video card stays cool even when there isnt much airflow and there is a large area in the case for graphics card cooling whether it suck it in or blows it out
