You live near two microcenters(westbury and yonkers) so that will save you about $30 on the cpu. You could get a hd 7870 and get the corsair 400r but I'd go with the better gpu and almost as good case that I have listed below.
cpu - i5 3450 $140+tax
mobo - asrock h77m $70
memory - corsair vengeance 8gb $34 w/$6 off promo code but it ends today
ssd - samsung 830 128gb $98.50
gpu - sapphire hd 7950 $280 after $20 rebate
case - antec three hundred two $50 after $10 rebate
psu - antec neo eco 520w $40 after $15 rebate(it also has a $15 promo code but only for 24hr)
optical drive - asus $17
monitor - acer 21.5" $127
The total is a little over $900 but with the rebates it'll be under $900 and if you buy the memory and psu today you'll save another $21.
