Well, it certainly looks pretty, with the oil slick rainbow motif.
Fairly functional, though the left hand menu bar is grotesquely wide,
making the area for primary content irritatingly narrow on my 800x600
monitor -- plus I typically browse with windows smaller than the maximum
size possible, because I've usually got three or four going at once.

The forums still have some issues. After some fumbling about in the
"Bitch & Moan" forum, I figured out how to reclaim my login name from
the old forums. Unfortunately, every time I try to post, I wind up at a
page informing me "You are already logged in!" Normally, I would post
about the problem, but you can guess why I haven't.

Still, it's only the first day. It's only natural for there to be
goof-ups and mistakes, which I don't doubt will be corrected with time.
Build high for happiness, etc.

Even on my screen, it's kinda off-balanced with the left bar out so
much, but I can see why, cause they don't want the "click and load the
sub-menu" game going on, which is fine.

I am kinda sad about the outcome of the "Broadband or dialup" poll.
While the page doesn't take THAT much time to load, they're obviously
favoring that market since that market spoke up.

A bit sad the old posts got lost entirely (cause there were some I was
reading and hoping for a last minute reply to and don't want to post
again and seem desperate).

Then again, that'd be if I COULD post. I too have a case of "But
you're logged in!" Gee...thanks. Why can't I post?

I think the new format is pretty solid. Or at least, a good "new
start point" for the site.

Say what you like about the old site, but at least it was bandwidth
friendly. Well, friendli*er*. Because of WW's site, and others, I
decided some time ago to make my browser Flash-incapable. Surfing became
much more enjoyable -- and less time-consuming -- after that.

There's no shame in wanting an answer to a question.

I disable all those irritating plug-ins as well, but my wife
re-enabled them because her work required it....

It's a great-looking site - I like it.

I think the thing I like the most is the Dark Ages section because it
makes me hope that the line will continue. As I've just spent a few
months gathering together a group from scratch (yes, ye gameless, it
is possible) and we start this week, I'm glad our chosen game might
not be going south after all.
