I have been having issues with copying files from CD-R
and CD-RW discs onto my new PC. I have tried with several
discs, all of which have worked perfectly on computers
with CD (not DVD) drives and computers without Windows
XP. Every time I try copying a file from a CD to the hard
drive I get the message: "Data Error: Cyclic Redundancy
Check". This, as I have tried with four different
computers for both burning and copying, only occurs when
attempting to burn a CD from a computer with a CD-RW
drive (or a pre-XP version of windows) and the
information is then transported to a computer with a DVD-
R drive (or XP). DVD-R to DVD-R (or XP to XP) works fine.

The files have ranged in size from 14 mb to 1.5 gb. It
doesn't always occur with one particular file as files
which recieved the error once I have tried re-burning and
they then worked. Please help.
