From what I have seen of the Nokia 1100 it does not have the capability
of downloading ring tones, instead it has a feature where you can
compose ring tones.

Looks like this is the problem. Do you know any source for finding
ringtones for composition?

We can offer some alternative solution: using even trial version of Oxygen
Phone Manager II ( http://www.opm-2.com/ ) it could be possible to upload
custom tones to this phone by F-Bus cable. This may not function, as F-Bus
cable connectivity isn't official, however, it works in most cases.
Our program also has user-friendly ringtone editor with virtual keyboard.
Trial license enables to upload only one tone per program's session for this
model, but, on other hand, trial version is absolutely free.

I don't have FBUS cable nor I can find it here in Brazil... does someone
here has schematics for it?
I have skills of working with electronics.
