Something is clearly wrong with my computer. Games like CS:GO and Bioshock 2 should run on my pc at 100fps, but instead they lag like crazy. If you have any knowledge as to what's wrong or how I can figure out what is wrong that would be great. Thank you.

MOBO: ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS

GPU: ZOTAC GTX 560 Ti

CPU: AMD FX 4100 (Bulldozer)

RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance

Would it be a BIOS issue at all?

they used to run fine ? try cleaning the dust from the video card. clean heatsink on processor. maybe even pull the heatsink and clean the old and reapply new thermal paste. scan for malware and virus'.

this a 32 or 64bit opsystem ?......... are the motherboard drivers installed..... the ones that came with the motherboard disc ?......... look in the device manager. see if anything needs to be updated.... hit the (+) sign and open stuff............ you'll be easy to spot some things but not always. right click on something and hit update driver. let windows do it's thing........... something you can't find, ask.

the memory........ is it 1.65 volts or is it 1.5 volt ?........ that might be a problem. so will memory that's not running to spec ( check your BIOS )... ( Look in booklet how )........ and what configuration ? 2 4gig-4 2gig ? and did you try it with only 2 sticks in the proper slots......... as per booklet ?
