Connecting xbox 360 and ps2 to a PC monitor

Hi all :)

I hope this is the right category for this question. My apologies if it's not.

I was hoping to get some advice on the best course of action to connect my consoles, one at any given time, to a pc monitor so it can be used like a television. I thought about getting an RCA connector to VGA converter but I think VGA only runs video. plus my monitor doesn't have integrated speakers (they are separate and connected to the pc directly) so I won't be able to get sound that way.

How should I set things up so I get video and audio from my RCA connectors to my monitor and freestanding speakers respectively?

Many thanks for reading and posting :)

There is a microsoft product for the xbox that does this. Its essentially a short cord that plugs into the custom output the xbox has (the one that isnt HDMI) and has a VGA on the other end, it also has two rca speaker outputs to be pluged into whatever you need. You can grab an rca to 3.5mm headphone jack convertor if you want for that. Im not sure about the ps2.

Thanks very much for that :)

I ordered this adapter and another to convert the audio rca ends to a headphone-like jack for my pc.

It'll all work as I had hoped.

Many thanks !
