6870 card detection

Hi,

I just upgraded my motherboard. With the previous motherboard, the 6870 would be detected as the 6870 on catalyst, dxdiag, etc. But with the new motherboard, it just detects it as a "6800 series."

Am I just being picky with the naming? Or is there a difference? How do I get my system to correctly detect my graphics card?

(I've disabled the internal display for the mobo in the BIOS)

No problem. More detailed system tools will spit out 6870. 6800 is interchangeable.

Yup... you're just being picky...
That's the way the cards are detected these days.
It is correctly identifying the card..... and there is no difference......
