Hello there,
I need some advice on upgrading my graphics card, since I want to start playing some of the newer games and I still use a very old model that can't run any such thing. (Also, I will have to get a new PSU to go along, so that will be replaced too. And probably some more memory). But it's mainly about the choice of GPU 7770 or 6850.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: This week or next, when I know what to get. BUDGET RANGE: €125 for graphics card, around €45 for psu. Sorry for being annoying with euros.

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming. Looking to play titles to the extend of: Witcher 2, Saints Row 3, Arkham City, DXHR at medium on 1920×1080 or high on lower resolution.

Difference between 6850 - 7770 is minimal. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-7770-7750-benchmark,3135-6.html

I would go for this one though ( it's only 8 euro above budget bit imo worth it and you don't use the whole budget for the psu so . . . ) http://www.4launch.nl/shop/#p-4-productid-125051

Make sure you have enough room for it though, can't see at the picture i found of the xps if you have enough. Looks pretty cramped.

I'd go with the 7770 because it uses less power and its performance is barely lower than the 6850. The newer drivers boosted performance to more than the reviews show so now the 2 cards are pretty much even.

Im actually in canada, we pay slightly more than america but generally its not much more, mosty we pay more in the taxes than anything. Online electronics are about the same price as in the states.

7770s go for €100+ but in $/€ price conversion we always come out worse with most products in general really. Been on the fence over 7770 all the way and 560(se) to a lesser extend.
But I couldn't really see it clear and make up my mind about it. Of course ever since I bought it, I have been getting alot useful tips xD A smaller, less power consuming card wouldn't have hurt. I guess the old threads favored the 6850 alot, tables might have turned by now.
Anyway, i should be receiving it tomorrow, so when it fits, i'll go with it and aim for the psu.
At least it costs me 2% less VAT for now right ;)
